Do you accept credit cards?
-Not at this time.
Is there a discount for cash?
-Yes, 5%. Also 3% discount for full payment at time of contract signing.
What are the chances that you will find more damages and ask for more money during
the repair?
-We will repair minor deficient conditions as they are found, for no charge, at our
discretion. If we discover conditions outside of the scope of the contract which
are significant, we will discuss this with you. Because we spend more effort in
evaluating your foundation, we are less likely to find significant conditions during
the course of the repair.
What do I do if I think I have a claim against your limited one-year warranty or
service contract?
-Call us and we will investigate. We charge $150 to investigate your claim; it is
refunded if the conditions are covered. Under a service contract, your concerns
can be addressed at the annual inspection for no additional fee.
What is considered to be foundation failure?
-When the elevations of the floors in the repaired areas have moved a half inch or
more. Normally, this is the amount of movement that will cause separations and cracks
in your finishes.
How much is the annual fee for the service contract?
-Normally $350, it varies depending on circumstances, the amount is determined solely
by EFS.
The service contract is transferable?
-Yes, you and the new owner are not required to register or pay for the transfer.
We will contact the new owner by mail at the next anniversary to allow the opportunity
to continue the service contract.
What if I allow the service contract to lapse?
-You do not have warranty coverage. The service contract can be reinstated upon your
request, but a thorough inspection and consideration of present and past conditions
must be performed by EFS. Reinstatement is in no way promised.
What do you do about the damages that the failed foundation caused?
-Rooms which have sustained damages due to this failure will either be repaired by
EFS or you will be compensated $150 per room.
Why do you say "Never pay for foundation repair again!"?
-Because if physical conditions are covered under the one-year limited warranty and
service contract, we will repair these conditions at no charge. After a year, if
your foundation repair is covered under the service contract, you will pay a small
annual fee but you will never have to pay for a repaired foundation area or repaired
condition to be repaired again. This arrangement with the service contract is much
like a service contract from a termite control company.
Are there any other companies that provide additional support to existing piers from
the deep soils underneath the piers?
-Not that we know of.
Is this support system patented?
-Patent is pending.
